Following the ruling of September, 10th 2021, the Investigating Chamber of Rennes annulled the entirety of an investigation opened on the charge of involuntary manslaughter for failure to comply with the obligation for the Public Prosecutor’s Office to obtain the prior opinion of the Minister of Defence before appointing an investigating judge.
