Following the ruling of March, 26th  2021, the Pôle 2 – Chamber 12 of the Paris Court of Appeal found the former Mayor of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés and his chief of staff guilty of misappropriation of public assets, receiving stolen goods, forgery and use of forgeries and sentenced them to several months’ suspended imprisonment and several thousand euros in fines. The Court also ordered them to pay jointly and jointly and severally to the Commune of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, which had brought a civil action, the sum of 225,830 euros as compensation for its material damage. An appeal was lodged by the defendants.

The civil party was defended by François Géry, Jérôme Piton and Vincent Bavay.
